Limitless
Inside Australia’s Homegrown Hair Care Brand
With an influx of new entries into the haircare business, it becomes even harder to handpick the best for one’s hair. But there’s something about Limitless, the up-and-coming hair product originating from Australia.
The Sydney-based brand provides hair colour and bonding system products for professionals and consumers alike. In collaboration between Australia and Italy, Limitless is made for all hair types, formulated with a team of trichologists, chemists and hairdressers.
I tried a variety of hair colouring lines and professional bond-building treatment Limitless Bond System. Here’s what I thought about the Aussie brand – and why you need to try it.
Product name: Limitless Colour 6.666 Dark Flame Red
With this model, I wanted to add little depth and little less vibrancy on her roots. So, l added ¼ of 6.0 and ½ 6.666 with 20 volume. Ends 6.666 with 30 volume to add little more vibrancy as her hair is previously coloured.
It resulted in a rich vibrant intense colour and left the hair with incredible shine. The product’s formula penetrates each strand with true-to-colour pigments then seals the surface to ensure full, long-lasting coverage.
The hair product has two main ingredients, Kakadu Plum and Bisabolol, of which improves hydration, health and growth, and supports the healing process of the hair and scalp, respectively.
Product Name: Limitless Lightening Powder White Dust Free
I wanted to achieve a light creamy blond colour to her hair, so I highlighted with fine sections to blend in with her existing highlights. I used bleach with 20 volume and added the Bond System to protect and strengthen the hair during the lifting period.
The bleach mixture resulted in a creamy consistency, making it easier to apply on the weaved sections and achieve lightened hair with natural-looking depth and dimension. It was gentle on the hair and gave an incredible lift without using a higher peroxide.
The Bond System added to the mixture gave a feel of thickness and strength to the hair which felt great.
Product name: Limitless Colour 7.82 & 7.8
The model had regrowth and her ends were previously bleached and coloured. So I applied Limitless 7.82 color on the roots and ¼ of the 7.82 and 7.8 equally with 20 volume on the ends. The outcome? Shiny result and great coverage.
Product name: Bond System
I tried the Bond System treatment as I read it was the best product to restore one’s hair strength, health, texture, and shine. Well l have to say it, l tried it on my hair and it felt wonderful!
I used it as a standalone treatment and it kept my natural hair color with a stronger and shiner result. It certainly had a thicker feel on my fine hair with texture and shine.
The procedure for the standalone treatment is as follows:
- Wash the hair using a clarifying shampoo if there are any oils or buildup of product.
- Rinse and towel dry.
- Use a measuring scale; combine B1 and water. For example, for medium length hair, mix 15ml of B1 & 90 ml of water.
- Saturate the hair from roots to ends, cover with a plastic cap, and leave for 5 – 10 minutes.
- Without rinsing the hair, apply B2 to towel dried hair again from roots to ends, making sure you have evenly distributed the treatment while combing and massage the hair. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse the treatment and apply B4 by massaging the scalp and shampooing the hair into a lather.
- Once hair is rinsed thoroughly, apply B5 to further nourish and moisturize the hair.
Seriously, healthy hair is easier to achieve than you’d think!
